About us
Obstetrician-Gynecologists contribute to optimum healthcare for women. They are physicians who possess skills, attributes, and expertise in the medical and surgical care of the female reproductive system and associated disorders. Today, there are number of specialists in this field but optimum healthcare of women is still unmet in many hospitals and institutions in India. To bridge this gap, physicians from other disciplines stepped in this domain and tried to address complexities of women’s health issues but their knowledge and skills are insufficient to address the problem of women health.
Fellowship in Obstetrics and Gynecology at MediColl is specially designed programme to cater the need of qualified Obstetrician-Gynecologists. In this programme learners go through the clinical training of one month at reputed hospitals wherein they learn various aspects of Obstetrics and Gynecology including diverse branches of medicine, surgery, care of pregnant women, gynecologic care, oncology, and primary health care for women under the supervision of distinguished faculty.
Core subjects taught in this programme are Anatomy & Physiology of the Female Reproductive system, Principals and Models of Antenatal Care, Diagnosis of Pregnancy, Complications during Pregnancy, Complications in Early and late Pregnancy, Sexually Transmitted Infections, Infertility, Chronic Pelvic Pain, etc.
