Upon completion of the programme learners will be able to:

  • Perform a thorough and systematic clinical assessment of patients presenting with gastroenterology symptoms, incorporating history-taking, physical examination, and appropriate diagnostic studies to formulate accurate differential diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Independently perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, endoscopic ultrasound, and advanced interventions such as endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR) and endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD), while adhering to best practices for patient safety and procedural quality.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging studies, laboratory tests, and histopathological findings relevant to gastrointestinal and liver diseases, integrating this information into clinical decision-making processes to optimize patient care and outcomes.

There would be multiple online assessments and one viva-voce for fellowship levels. There would be quiz in the LMS after each milestone and students must complete to move to next level.

  1. Online exam after each key stage. This is required to move to next stage
  2. Online exam after completing all modules. This would be detailed exam.
  3. Post passing in detailed exam there would be viva-voce.
  4. All these steps must be done prior to observership (for Fellowship only).
  5. There would be one exam after observership(for Fellowship only).
  6. After completing all the exams Certificate would be awarded
  7. For each online exam there would be two attempts given. Post that it would be chargeable.
  8. There is no schedule required for each online exam. It would be automatically available based on completing of previous stage.
  9. For viva-voice there would be schedule given and students must clear in first attempt. Next attempt would be chargeable and must be done when next schedule is available.
